This is the preferred interface for small Artist systems because it has an isolated DMX output protecting the computer for any dangerous ground loops or over-voltage events.

Installing ShowCAD USB-DMX interface

After installing Artist follow the procedure below.

• Plug in the ShowCAD USB-DMX interface. Windows will report New Hardware found and the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' will launch.

• Select 'Install from a list or a specific location (Advanced)'

• Select 'Search from the best driver in these locations'

• Uncheck the CDROM

• Check 'Include this location in the search'

• Browse for the 'Program Files\Artist' directory

• Click next. Windows will report that the software has not passed Windows Logo testing. Click 'Continue Anyway'.

If a previous installation failed you should uninstall Artist, reboot Windows, reinstall Artist and follow the above procedure.
